Slow cooker beef recipes
Ingredients
1.5kg (3 lb) lean stewing beef (topside, blade)
½ cup flour
1 tablespoon curry powder
3 cloves chopped
2 onions chopped
1 carrot chopped
2 apples unpeeled, cored and chopped.
1 cup sultanas
2 teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 -2 cups stock
rice for serving
Method
Cut beef into large cubes. Place in slow cooker/ crock pot.
Mix flour and curry powder, stir meat cubes with flour mixture to coat.
Add garlic, raisins, onions, carrot, salt and pepper. Pour in stock and stir to blend.
Cover and cook on Low setting for 6-10 hours.
About ½ hour before serving, add chopped apples. Serve over hot rice.
